Abstract
Supramolecular multilayered ferromagnets in which metal layers are int erleaved with iminonitroxide benzoate radical anions have been synthes ized and characterized by the authors. The structure of these novel co mpounds (see cover) consists of stacks of alternating organic-inorgani c layers. Long-range ferromagnetism is evidenced by magnetic and elect roparamagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements, and shows clear interacti on between the two sub-networks. In this respect, this new class of hy brid magnets differs markedly from classical intercalated layer compou nds.
