Abstract
We report and discuss preliminary results obtained from the analysis o f a sample of X-ray pulsars observed by SAX and XTE. The sample includ es GX1+4, a similar to 125 s period low-mass X-ray pulsar which shows extreme properties and spin-up/down behaviour; 4U 0142+614, a member o f the recently identified class of ''Anomalous'' X-ray pulsars, SMC X- 1, a short period (similar to 0.71 s) X-ray pulsar in a high-mass bina ry, and RX J0146.9+6121, the slowest spinning accreting neutron star c urrently known (similar to 25 min period).
