Abstract
The formation of stable surface methoxy groups iii various zeolite-cat alysed reaction processes has been widely accepted as an important int ermediate stage and the understanding of such an intermediacy is of gr eat significance. C-13 magic-angle-turning (MAT) NMR experiments, in c onjunction with theoretical calculations of C-13 Shielding tensors, ar e employed to investigate the chemical and electronic nature of methox y groups on H-SAPO-34.
