Abstract
Mixtures of Y zeolites (NaY or LaNaNH4Y) and manganese chloride tetrah ydrate are treated in air at atmospheric pressure. Depending on the tr eatment temperature, T-t, three successive processes can occur: maximu m halide insertion into the supercages at low temperature (503 K); max imum cation exchange at 683 K and solid-solid reactions with the appea rance of new crystalline phases at ca. 1073 K.
