Abstract
Benzene is selectively aminated to aniline in the presence of ammonia using a Group VIII element as the catalyst supported on a carrier at e levated temperatures and high pressures. The catalytic tests were perf ormed in a plug Row reactor or in a continuously stirred tank reactor. To shift the reaction equilibrium towards aniline, oxygen or carbon m onoxide, respectively, were added.
