New discovery of an upper tooth row of the hominoid primate Ouranopith
ecus macedoniensis in a late Miocene locality of Macedonia (Greece) al
lows a better comparison with other Miocene hominoid primates as well
as with Plio-Pleistocene australopithecines. This analysis confirms th
e striking morphological similarities with the latter and reinforces t
