Abstract
New discovery of an upper tooth row of the hominoid primate Ouranopith ecus macedoniensis in a late Miocene locality of Macedonia (Greece) al lows a better comparison with other Miocene hominoid primates as well as with Plio-Pleistocene australopithecines. This analysis confirms th e striking morphological similarities with the latter and reinforces t he hypothesis of a sister group relationship. ((C)Academie des science s / Elsevier, Paris.).
