Abstract
Radiation and scintillation characteristics of a composite medium, SiO 2-gel polymerized in the new green scintillator of poly(styrene) + 2% pTP + 0.05% K-27, are presented. On excitation of luminescence in samp les of the composite scintillator with a Bi-207 source, the light outp ut of the samples was as high as similar to 15% of that of anthracene.
