M. Riccabona et al., CONGENITAL CHOLEDOCHAL CYST WITH AGGRAVAT ION AFTER ABDOMINAL-TRAUMA, Monatsschrift fur Kinderheilkunde, 141(8), 1993, pp. 648-650
We present a case of congenital choledochal cyst with late aggravation
after an abdominal trauma, which needed surgical resection of the cys
t and cholecystectomy followed by hepatodigestive portojejunal anastom
osis. This case shows, that inspite of minimal changes in the beginnin
g later aggravation - for example after trauma - can be observed. Sono
graphy is a noninvasive, non-ironising method and appears to be adequa
t for diagnosis and pre- and postoperative monitoring, but can not rep
lace endoscopic, retrograde-choledochopancreaticography.
