Vr. Choudhary et P. Devadas, PRODUCT SELECTIVITY AND AROMATICS DISTRIBUTION IN AROMATIZATION OF PROPANE OVER H-GAMFI ZEOLITE - INFLUENCE OF TEMPERATURE, MICROPOROUS AND MESOPOROUS MATERIALS, 23(3-4), 1998, pp. 231-238
Influence of temperature on the product selectivity, distribution of a
romatics and p-X/m-X and p-X/o-X product ratios and also on the dehydr
ogenation/cracking, aromatization/cracking and aromatization/dehydroge
nation activity ratios, in the aromatization of propane over H-gallosi
licate (MFI) zeolite at different isoconversions of propane has been t
horoughly investigated. The product selectivity and the distribution o
f aromatics and xylene isomers are strongly influenced by the reaction
temperature, depending upon the propane conversion; the influence is,
however, decreased with increasing the propane conversion. The aromat
ization activity of the zeolite relative to its dehydrogenation or cra
cking activity is decreased markedly with increasing the temperature.
The product selectivity is controlled kinetically. (C) 1998 Elsevier S
