Abstract
Gas holdup has been estimated in air-water froths from electrical cond uctivity measurements using the ''standard addition method.'' The tech nique was verified by estimating the liquid conductivity as well as ga s holdup and comparing with independent estimates. The technique was u sed to measure gas holdup as a function of position in a froth. The re sulting ''gas holdup profile'' suggests a greater variation than in pr evious work.
