Ten complete specimens of Frillagalma vityazi Daniel, 1966 (Siphonopho
rae, Agalmatidae) were collected by the submersibles Johnson-Sea-Link
I and II. These have allowed a more detailed description of the specie
s to be made, as it was previously known only by its ill-preserved nec
tophores and one type of its bracts. The taxonomic status of the speci
es is discussed. In addition much material has been identified from th
e Discovery collections, and the distribution of the species in the No
rth Atlantic Ocean is considered.
