The chiral soliton approach (CSA) provides predictions of the rich spe
ctrum of baryonic states with different values of strangeness for any
baryon number B. In the sector with B = 1, the spectrum of well known
octet and decuplet of baryons can be described within the CSA, and som
e exotic states are predicted. In the B = 2 sector, there are many pre
dictions of strange dibaryons, but only few - e.g., the virtual Lambda
Nu state - have been observed. Possible reasons for this are discusse
d.
