Abstract
There is no photometric standard observer for the mesopic region, but five systems of mesopic photometry have been proposed, each based on i ts own experimental data set. Brit more experimental data are required , especially for parts of the colour gamut. In order to make the best usf of Existing data and ra optimize the value of new data, theoretica l aspects Meed to be considered. These lend to the conclusion? that no t all data are acceptable.
