Abstract
Posttransplantation lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) have been div ided, based on morphology, into polymorphic and monomorphic types, sin ce findings in the literature reveal that polymorphic PTLD more likely responds to reduced immunosuppression. We report a clinically aggress ive, polymorphic land polyclonal) PTLD despite reduced immunosuppressi on and discuss possible therapeutic options. In addition, our case sug gests that cytogenetic studies may be useful in determining prognosis when DNA molecular techniques do not defect monoclonality. (C) Elsevie r Science Inc., 1998.
