Abstract
Gallium chloride or indium chloride interacts with 2,6-bis(2,4,6-triis opropylphenyl)phenyllithium, (Mes2C6H3)Li (Mes* = C6H2Pr3i-2,4,6), af fording [(Mes2C6H3)MCl2](2) (M = Ga 1, In 2), interesting group 13 or ganometallic crystalline dimers, characterized by elemental analyses, H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
