Radiation-chemical trans formations of dimethylcyclosiloxanes in dimet
hylphenylsilsesquioxane block copolymer matrices were studied. Consump
tion of dimethylcyclosiloxanes (D-x) is associated with their polymeri
zation to give an insoluble gel, i.e., with the incorporation of D-x i
nto the siloxane chain of the polymer and interactions between dimethy
lcyclosiloxanes. The mechanism of evolution of dimethylcyclosiloxanes
in siloxane block copolymers is discussed.
