Abstract
The multiplicities of charged secondaries from collisions of p, d, He, and C projectiles with tantalum nuclei at incident momenta between 2 and 10 GeV/c per nucleon are analyzed as functions of the target and p rojectile masses and of the collision energy. The observed dependences are adequately described by predictions based on multivariate Koba-Ni elsen-Olesen scaling.
