In this paper, we are interested in a contact problem between a thin s
hell and a rigid punch. We propose a numerical method for solving this
problem. This method is based on an incremental process and the use o
f the conjugate gradient method. The context of this work is the isotr
opic elastoplastic material with large strains in the quasi-static sta
te with the Lagrangian formulation updated for each loading increment.
Some numerical results are given to validate the proposed numerical m
