Abstract
Discussions of the recent reauthorization of IDEA (Individuals with Di sabilities Education Act) often focused on financing for early childho od service delivery systems. States and program administrators frequen tly cited increasing difficulties accessing third party payment source s for reimbursement of services, particularly occupational and physica l therapy. Factors affecting the ability of states and local programs to seek and secure reimbursement for therapy services are discussed. S trategies for ensuring programmatic success in securing reimbursement for such services are also presented.
