Abstract
The operation of the gas-generating electrodes with a solid polymer el ectrolyte essentially differs from that of the hydrophilic gas-generat ing porous electrodes. One of these differences is the necessity, when establishing the characteristics of the former, to determine beforeha nd the effective specific surface on which electrochemical transformat ions may successfully proceed. In this paper, we propose a procedure f or the calculation of such a surface.
