Abstract
The radioactive tracer method is used to study mass transfer and elect rical mass transfer of sodium and barium ions from their individual so lutions and from their mixture through perfluorinated ion-exchange mem branes with and without a surface-modified layer. The mutual influence of ions in the course of their simultaneous transfer through a membra ne is determined by the membrane's total moisture content, which is de fined by the external electrolyte composition and the hydration degree of ions being transferred.
