The Society for the Advancement of Women's Health Research is a nonpro fit, nonpartisan organization committed to improving the health of wom en through research. The Society was founded in 1990 to bring national attention to the problem of the exclusion of women from clinical tria ls and the need for greater federal funding for diseases and condition s prevalent in and unique to women. Today, the Society works closely w ith members of the public and private sectors and academic institution s to promote a women's health research agenda. The Society seeks to bo th shape public policy and improve public and professional education.
