Abstract
The Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) for arsenic in drinking water is t o be lowered in the United States. Membrane treatment is a viable meth od to meet the reduced MCL. The suitability of reverse osmosis, nanofi ltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration as an arsenic treatment method is investigated. Treatment recommendations are made based upon the results of several pilot studies.
