QUICK-SCAN - SELECTION OF MICROFILTRATION AND ULTRAFILTRATION MEMBRANES

The Quick-Scan (QS) is a quick, reproducible and relative cheap measur ing method to compare micro- or ultrafiltration membrane performances within standard conditions. The QS can be used as an independent tool to make a well-founded membrane choice and to carry out exploratory re search on the possibilities of micro- and ultrafiltration. The measuri ng method, which consist of a measuring protocol and a specially devel oped installation, is an important supplement to reduce the risks conc erning the usage of micro- and ultrafiltration membranes.
