Abstract
Transient absorption measurements of aminonitrofluorene in acetonitril e reveal for the first time an oscillatory behavior in the dynamic Sto kes shift of stimulated emission. The measured relaxation curve for th e maximum of the stimulated emission band is in excellent agreement wi th the solvation correlation function C(t) obtained from the simple co ntinuum theory of dipolar solvation.
