We study the photoinduced charge separation processes in solution thro
ugh a pump-probe spectroscopy theory [Dah-Yen Yang and Sheh-Yi Sheu, J
. Chem. Phys. 106, 9427 (1997)] numerically. We investigate the detail
ed mechanism of nonadiabatic transition processes via the transition d
ifferential flux analysis. For the harmonic potential surfaces, an ele
ctronic coherence motion is observed in the overdamped exothermic acti
vationless and inverted regimes. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physic
