Br. Hsieh et Ar. Melnyk, ORGANIC PIGMENT NANOPARTICLE THIN-FILM DEVICES VIA LEWIS-ACID PIGMENTSOLUBILIZATION, Chemistry of materials, 10(9), 1998, pp. 2313
A Lewis acid pigment solubilization (LAPS) process was introduced for
the fabrication of organic pigment thin film devices. A wide range of
heterocyclic pigments such as benzimidazole perylenes and phthalocyani
nes has been solubilized in nitromethane in the presence of a Lewis ac
id such as aluminum chloride. One should be able to fabricate a wide r
ange of organic pigment thin films devices via LAPS, as we have demons
trated in this paper for the fabrication of organic photoconductors.
