The paper contains a description of the principles of operation, const
ruction and metrological properties of the system of a wave thermoanem
ometer with a thermoresistive sensor. The development of thermoanemome
ter systems and the construction of sensors is discussed and the achie
vements of various researches, including the author, are mentioned. Th
ree constructional variants of the thermoresistive converter are prese
nted, as well as the block diagram of the wave thermoanemometer measur
ing system, its mathematical model, and the results of simulations and
empirical experiments together with their metrological analysis. The
conclusions at the end of the paper highlight the advantages of the de
veloped system and present some of its possible application in measuri
