Cd. Ho et al., COOL THERMAL DISCHARGE WITH TIME-VELOCITY VARIATION OF FLOWING AIR IN-SITU CONTACT ON WATER-SURFACE, Journal of the Chinese Institute of Chemical Engineers, 29(4), 1998, pp. 249-255
A feasible device of cooling system to produce chilled air during on-p
eak power-consumption hours by the processes of ice melting has been d
eveloped. The simulation of estimating the thickness of ice melted and
temperature distribution in the water region with convective transfer
by controlling air velocity for specified discharging fluxes on the f
ree water surface has been devised. Three examples with different flux
es of cool thermal-discharges and a case of specified air temperature
varied with time have been simulated, and the results of the thickness
of the melted ice layers and cool thermal-discharges have been discus
sed.
