Abstract
A fuzzy threshold controller for priority traffic in ATM networks is p resented. The controller is based on fuzzy theory and PID control prin ciple. The new approach can perform much better than the fixed thresho ld mechanism through adjusting the threshold periodically and adaptive ly according to the arriving traffic load and characteristics.
