Abstract
1-Hydroxy-1,2-benziodoxol-3(1H)-one 1-oxide (IBX) was found to be an e fficient and selective reagent for the mild oxidative cleavage of the C=N of oximes and tosylhydrazones to yield their corresponding carbony l compounds rapidly at room temperature in high yields.
