Nasal functional investigation is not yet widely used in France in ast
hmatic children and children suffering from persistent non-infectious
rhinitis refractory to treatment. The use of clinical scores, measurem
ent of nasal obstruction by rhinomanometry, and tests for eosinophilia
in correctly collected nasal secretions, allow a better approach to t
he diagnosis and treatment of these forms of rhinitis, the frequency a
nd socio-economic repercussions of which are regulare increasing in in
dustrialized countries.
