Abstract
The problem of non-localities in the theory of 2D Toda chain is discus sed. Our approach is based on direct generalization of the notion of f irst integrals to the 2D case. We formulate also special geometrical p roperties of the coordinates system formed by non-local dynamical vari ables. Applications to 2+1 integrable pde's are considered.
