Abstract
The coupling of size-exclusion chromatography with ICP-MS is shown to be an attractive technique to study the binding of cadmium and copper by phytochelatins in plant cell suspension cultures incubated with the se metals. Electrospray mass spectrometry enabled to identify the meta l binding compounds: (gamma-Glu-Cys)(2)-Gly and (gamma-Glu-Cys)(2).
