Abstract
This is the first report on the chemical constituents of Asterella blu meana. Three triterpenoids (22-hydroxyhopane, 22,29-dihydroxyhopane, 6 alpha,22-dihydroxyhopane) and one flavonoid (isoscutellarein-7,8,4'-t rimethyl ether) were isolated from the CH2Cl2 extract of the liverwort Asterella blumeana grown in vitro. The structures of isolated compoun ds were established by spectroscopic methods (UV, EI mass spectroscopy , H-1- and C-13-NMR). 22,29-dihydroxyhopane is a new natural compound.
