Abstract
An acetone extract from the moss Rhynchostegium riparioides was tested against 11 bacterial strains, some of which are pathogenic. The extra ct was active on some Gram-negative strains. The antibacterial activit y of the extract, expressed as MICs, was compared with three reference antibiotics. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
