Abstract
The effects of the atomic motion and of the field-mode structure, on t he evolution of the field entropy and the production of the Schrodinge r-cat state are examined in the Jaynes-Cummings model. The results sho w that the atomic motion and the field-mode structure play an importan t role in the evolution of the field entropy and the generation of the Schrodinger-cat state and some new conclusions can be obtained.
