Sexually transmitted diseases remain a prevalent problem in the United
States and throughout the world, despite efforts in prevention and ed
ucation. This review highlights the cutaneous manifestations of the fo
llowing sexually transmitted diseases: syphilis, chancroid, lymphogran
uloma venereum, granuloma inguinale, genital herpes, genital warts, sc
abies, and pediculosis pubis. Emphasis is placed on the clinical findi
