L. Coffey et D. Coffey, QUASI-PARTICLE SPECTRAL WEIGHT OF CUPRATE OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTORS, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 48(6), 1993, pp. 4184-4187
Results are presented for the quasiparticle-spectral-weight function f
or a two-dimensional tight-binding band in the normal and superconduct
ing states. Comparison is made between s- and d-wave superconducting p
hases. A quasiparticle damping mechanism, which has been proposed as a
n explanation for recently observed features in superconducting tunnel
ing experiments, is incorporated, as well as an additional inelastic s
cattering rate that decreases rapidly upon entering the superconductin
g state. Comparison is made with recent angle-resolved photoemission s
pectroscopy.
