Gx. Ren et Gr. Jing, BEHAVIOR OF 200A GEV S-32 AND FRAGMENTS IN COLLISIONS WITH A CU TARGET, Journal of physics. G, Nuclear and particle physics, 19(8), 1993, pp. 1211-1216
Using CR-39 nuclear track detectors and an automated scanning system,
the behaviour of 200 A GeV S-32 and projectile fragments with charges
9 less-than-or-equal-to Z less-than-or-equal-to 15 produced in collisi
ons with a Cu target was studied. The total and partial fragmentation
charge-changing cross sections of S-32, and the total cross sections o
f fragments, were measured. We studied the dependence of the mean free
path of secondary fragments on the distance from the emission point.
We also measured the angular distributions of projectile fragments and
the charge pick-up cross section of S-32 in Cu.
