NOVEL NITROSO-COMPOUNDS LANGMUIR-BLODGETT-FILMS

Nitroso compounds and their complexes with metals have been used befor e only twice as suitable substances for the deposition of Langmuir-Blo dgett (LB) films. To this purpose, two novel nitroso compound platinum complexes have been prepared and deposited. X-ray diffraction measure ments evidence the existence of two peaks indicating two different str uctures in the films with different tilting. The films do not exhibit the modulation of the electrical conductivity in the presence of dopan t gases in the atmosphere unlike films of similar nitroso complexes. ( C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
