Abstract
A method is described for the utilization of Ar-40 as radiotracer for oxygen in a standard Rushton air-water contactor at steady state condi tions without oxygen depletion. The compartmental analysis method is a pplied to appraise the mass transfer kinetics of the system. Results d emonstrate the suitability of Ar-41 as a radiotracer for oxygen and th at the system can be described as an open, three-compartmental model.
