Abstract
The compound YbB12 having a fluctuating valence is investigated by the EPR method. It is suggested that the valence fluctuation frequency of ytterbium ions nu>10(10) Hz. The electron excitation spectra reveal a gap of the order of 6-7 meV. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics. [S1063-777X(98)01308-5].
