Abstract
Synthesis of mono-functionalized trioxabicyclo[3.3.1]nona-3,7-dienes ( ''bridged bisdioxines'') (3) as well as (7), and their transformation into the corresponding 2,4,6,8-tetraoxadamantanes (5) and (8), respect ively, by proton-catalyzed hydrolysis, is described.
