Abstract
To provide mobile users with basically the same services offered by ex isting ATM networks, via wireless links, the ATM wireless access (AWA) equipment must implement functions to cope with ATM signals. This pap er describes the ATM interface unit to provide these functions, and th e key technologies implemented in this system including automatic repe at request (ARQ) control, cell delay variation (CDV) compensation, and OAM processing.
