M. Vicanek et al., RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN THEORETICAL UNDERSTANDING OF MULTICOMPONENT COLLISION CASCADES, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 5, 1993, pp. 265-266
Energy sharing is considered for collision cascades in a polyatomic me
dium with constituents of very different atomic numbers and masses. Co
nsiderable disagreement is found between predictions of Anderson and S
igmund and a Monte Carlo simulation on HfC, even for equivalent physic
al input. An improved theory due to Urbassek and Conrad is shown to re
move this discrepancy.
