Abstract
We show that the chemical separation method generates a carbon-rich pr oduct that allows us to study the microstructure of Pvc irradiated at doses above 15 MGy. We show the existence of new structures not clearl y identifiable with known carbon structures. Studies with HRTEM reveal ed highly ordered structures which may be related to fullerene rather than graphitic materials.
