Abstract
Large changes of conductivity occur in annealed pyrolytic SnO2 films w hen irradiated with ultraviolet radiation under ambient conditions. We have found that this effect is due to chemisorption-photodesorption o f oxygen following an Elovich-type kinetics, and that chemisorption pr oceeds by the transfer of electrons through a potential barrier.
