Abstract
Heteroepitaxial thin films of superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-x, HoBa2Cu3O7- x and insulating SrTiO3 have been deposited on (001) SrTiO3 substrates by DC/RF sputtering at high oxygen pressures. The deposition conditio ns for the high-T(c) films and SrTiO3 films were completely compatible . The structures of the layers were investigated by x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. Trilayer planar-type junctions w ith SIS structure showed a superconducting transition above 90 K. The heterostructures were characterized by susceptibility, resistivity and I-V measurements.
