The influence of the chemical short-range order effect on the electron
ic density of states in binary alloys is studied. The electronic struc
ture is calculated by the TB LMTO CPA method. Increasing density of st
ates at the Fermi level N(E(F)) is observed with increasing short-rang
e order parameter in Pt0.75Mn0.25 and Hf0.25Rh0.75 alloys.
